What we collect, and why

When you buy a plugin. Our checkout is run by Wix. It collects your name, email address, billing address and payment details to take payment and work out tax. Payment details are handled by Wix's payment providers, and we never see your full card number. We receive your name, email address, billing address and order details so we can deliver your license key and support you. We use this to fulfil our contract with you.

When you activate a plugin. To enforce the 3-computer limit, the plugin sends our licensing provider, Keygen, your license key, a one-way scrambled code made from your computer's ID (not the ID itself), your computer's name and its operating system. It records when each computer was activated and when it last checked in. We use this to provide the license you bought and to prevent misuse, which is part of our contract with you and in our legitimate interest.

When you email us. We keep your messages and contact details so we can reply and help you. This is in our legitimate interest in supporting customers.

When you browse this site. The site is hosted by Wix, which keeps standard server logs such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, for security and to keep the site running. The site's fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers. The site stores a small identifier in your browser so items stay in your cart between pages. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't sell your information.

Who we share it with

• Keygen, for license keys and activations.
• Wix and its payment providers, which host this site and run our checkout and payments.
• Google, which provides our email and the site's fonts.
• Professional advisers such as an accountant, and authorities where the law requires it.

These providers only use your information to provide their services to us, or as their own privacy notices describe.

International transfers

We're based in the United States, and our providers store information in the United States and other countries. Where information about people in the UK or the European Economic Area is transferred, we rely on our providers' legal safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

• Order and license records: for as long as your license is active, and then for up to 7 years for tax and accounting purposes.
• Activation records for a computer: until that computer is deactivated, then for up to 12 months.
• Support emails: up to 3 years after our last contact.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Email undercastleaudio@gmail.com and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're in the UK or the European Economic Area, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

We use reputable providers that protect information in transit and at rest, and we limit access to what's needed to run the business. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Cookies and browser storage

This site uses browser storage only to keep your cart working. The Wix checkout may set cookies needed to process your payment securely. We don't use cookies for advertising or analytics.

Children

Our site and plugins aren't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

We'll update this notice if how we handle information changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
